Der Papyrus wurde vermutlich von der gleichen Hand beschriftet wie auch Papyrus Amherst 6 (Peet, Tomb-Robberies, 29).

Comment on dating:

  • Der Papyrus trägt eine Datumsangabe, wonach die darin beschriebene Untersuchung im 16. Regierungsjahr Ramses IX. stattfand (konkret an den Tagen 18–21 des dritten Monats der Achet-Jahreszeit). Vermutlich fand die Niederschrift des Textes um diese Zeit statt.
