- The dipinti identified by W. Helck during the excavations led by H. Ricke ( main publication Herbert Ricke. Das Sonnenheiligtum des Königs Userkaf. Vol. I. Der Bau. Wiesbaden 1965) are dated to the New Kingdom, and mostly to the 18th dynasty on grounds of palaeography and contents.
Description
- The dipinti were produced by private (nonroyal) persons, however, in Aby Ghurab as well as in other pyramid complexes they are located in a distinctly royal context.
