gmi̯: unpersönliches Passiv oder Passiv mit dem anschließenden Satz als Subjekt. Aus neuägyptischer Perspektive ist die Form perfektisch (so A. Bakir, Slavery in Pharaonic Egypt (CASAE 18), Le Caire 1952, 49; J.-M. Kruchten, Etudes de syntaxe néo-égyptienne, Bruxelles 1982, 72), aus mittelägyptischer Perspektive kann sie auch prospektivisch/subjunktivisch sein. Für Caminos (LEM, 58) ist gmi̯ hingegen eine Partikel mit der Bedeutung "perchance", d.h. "zufälligerweise, vielleicht", für Satzinger, Neuägyptische Studien, 115 ist es eine Wunschpartikel: "Möge Amun in Frieden kommen" (mit jwi̯ als Pseudopartizip). Als Wunschsatz übersetzen z.B. Fecht, Assmann, Buchberger, Foster, Bojowald, was inhaltlich besser zu einem Gebet passen würde.
