stn: Fox, S. 67, Anm. b ging von einer Haplographie aus und vermutete das Verb wsṯn. Da dieses keinen Stativ haben kann, ergänzt er zu sw (ḥr) 〈w〉sṯn und übersetzte auf S. 66: "As his provender so his stride". M.E. hat Mathieu, S. 31 den Sinn eher getroffen: "Il [le cheval du roi, L.P.] est gratifié dans sa nourriture." Vgl. hierzu das eigenhändig vom König gefütterte Pferd bildlich auf einem Skarabäus Amenhoteps II. (P. Der Manuelian, Studies in the Reign of Amenophis II, Hildesheim 1987 [HÄB 26], S. 198) und textlich evtl. im Gedicht des Pentawer, §§ 270-271 (Th. von der Way, Die Textüberlieferung Ramses' II. zur Qadesch-Schlacht. Analyse und Struktur, Hildesheim 1984, 324-325). Literarisch verarbeitet findet sich das Motiv des Pferdes, dass noch vor seinem Besitzer Nahrung erhält, im Prinzenmärchen, pHarris 500 vso. 5,8-9 (s. hier im TLA).
