šmšm.t: Die Deutung als Hanf geht auf Dawson, in: JEA 20, 1934, 44 zurück, ist aber sehr unsicher (vgl. Germer, Handbuch, 132-133). Dawson Indiz ist ein Beleg in PT 514, wo Stricke aus der šmšm.t-Pflanze gedreht werden. Archäologisch ist Hanf bisher nicht in Ägypten belegt.
