In der Interpretation von Ebbell, Alt-ägyptische Chirurgie, 42 könnte eine Beschädigung des Nervus sympathicus im Bereich der unteren Halswirbel vorliegen (ebenso Brawanski, in: SAK 32, 2004, 68, Anm. 5), es ist also kein Schlag gegen den Kopf erforderlich.
