mw.y wird in Wb. II, 53, 2-3 als "Urin; Inkontinenz" übersetzt, eine Var. des Wortes mw.yt "Flüssigkeit; wässerige Substanz; Urin", von Faulkner, Concise Dictionary, 105 als eine Var. des Wortes mw "Wasser" (mw.y in Zl. 289/alt 258 entspricht mw in der Handschrift B2, Zl. 11). Vielleicht bedeutet mw.y im Schiffskontext spezifisch "Bilgenwasser" oder "Gischt, Schwall, Schwapp", also Wasser, das ins Boot spritzt.
