- tmꜣ.t [sḏr]: R. Enmarch, forthcoming, A World Upturned: The Ancient Egyptian Dialogue of Ipuwer and the Lord of All. To appear in the British Academy Postdoctoral Monograph Series: "Common household mats (tmꜣw) are often described as made from rdmt (Janssen 1975b: 154), which are palms (Devauchelle 1980: 68). The word in the lacuna in between is thus probably semantically linked to tmꜣw (for m indicating material of manufacture, see Gardiner 1957a: §162.5); sḏr: 'sleeping mat', often associated with tmꜣw, is the most likely restoration. sḏrw are usually made from straw fibres, but can be made of skins (Janssen 1975b: 159; cf. orthography with cow's skin determinativ (Gardiner, Sign-List F27) in: Cerný 1951: pl.1 [344]), which perhaps explains the cow's skin determinative here despite their being made of palm."
