  • Helck, Urkunden … Übersetzung, 14 übersetzt hier: „Gefällt wurde [ḫr.w] der Verbrecher [bdš.w]“; danach Bresciani, Letteratura, 238: „[Egli li ha fatti] cadere, resi deboli …“. Anders Wilson, in Ancient Near Eastern Texts, 234: „The enemy [ḫr.w] quailed [bdš.w]“; so auch Cumming, Egyptian Historical Records, 9: „[…] the enemy weakened“ und Klug, Stelen, 155 „der Feind ermattete“. Beides macht kontextuell wenig Sinn, da der betreffende „Verbrecher“, der Fürst von Megiddo, vermutlich erst am Ende des Satzes eingeführt wird [„Megiddo“ ist nicht erhalten, wurde aber von Helck a.a.O. tentativ ergänzt!] . Besser ist es, beide Wörter auf „die Feinde“ zu beziehen, die von Thutmosis jäh übermannt wurden; vgl. u.a.
