  • Diese Passage ist von den Bearbeitern unterschiedlich aufgenommen worden. Roeder 1915, 179 erkennt einen "unverständlichen Titel", Lichtheim 1980, 96 liest die Passage wörtlich als "one of the staff oft the Ibis". Bereits Barguet 1953, 16 (3) vermutet aber, dass es sich bei "wn-jm eigentlich um einen priesterlichen Titel handelt könnte, auch wenn er weiter nur "un homme du personnel de l'Ibis" übersetzt, analog zu Peust 2004, 213. Dagegen weisen R. Jasnow / K.-T. Zauzich, The Ancient Egyptian Book of Thoth, Wiesbaden 2005, 31 auf einen priesterlichen Titel "wn-imA" hin, der in der Form "sA wn-imA" sowohl in Edfu als auch im Toth-Buch gut belegt ist und den sie auch für die Hungersnotstele an dieser Stelle vorschlagen. Dieser Titel bezieht sich auf das Epitheton "wn-jmA", welches mit Toth assoziiert ist (vgl. LGG II, 374). Panov 2018, 71, 158 schließt sich dem an und übersetzt "…the wenim-priest of the Ibis's personnel". jst ist wahrscheinlich eine alte Schreibung von jm.j-jz$ - Diensttuender im Büro (Priester oder Beamter, Lemma-Nr.: 25300), vgl. Barguet 1953, 16 (3) mit Verweis auf ASAE 26, 195-196.
