  • qdd.w: Ebbell, Papyrus Ebers, 115, Lefebvre, Essai sur la médecine égyptienne, 32, Bardinet, Papyrus médicaux, 89 und Grundriß der Medizin IV/1, 1 übersetzen es wörtlich mit „Schlaf“. MedWb 2, 893-894 vermutet darin dagegen eine metaphorische Bezeichnung für einen anatomisch konkreten Bestandteil des Auges, da es parallel zu ḏfd steht, und denkt an den Augapfel, weil sich die Augäpfel (bei den meisten Menschen) im Schlaf nach oben drehen und daher nur noch zum Teil zu sehen sind.
