ḫꜣbn: Eine Löffelente. Mariette, Mastabas, 181 beschreibt den Vogel in der Mastaba des Raemka als "un canard à bec très long, presqu'en forme de spatule" (Saqqara, Mastaba D3, S903 [PM III²/2, 487] des Rꜥw-m-kꜣ(=j), heute MMA 1908.201.1, 5. Dyn. = DZA 23.461.320). Boessneck, Tierwelt, 104 und Abb. 172 (= Photo) sagt über denselben Vogel im selben Grab, dass dieser "an dem großen Schnabel erkennbar, eine Löffelente, Anas clypeata" ist. Der Vogel ḫꜣbn/ḫbn findet sich nicht in Wb. 3 oder bei Hannig, Ägyptisches Wörterbuch I. Die Schreibung ist jedoch eindeutig, das Determinativ ähnelt dem Determinativ von ḫbn: "verdrehen" in PT 1031 (Spruch 485) [Version Pepi I.: MIFAO 118, Tf. 8, Kol. P/A/S 53] und PT 1041d (Spruch 486) und ḫbn.t: "Schuld" in PT 462b (Spruch 302) (Hannig, Handwörterbuch. Marburger Edition, 1397: HSZ45: "gekrümmter Arm ohne Hand (?)"), ist aber horizontal und nicht vertikal orientiert.
