  • Gardiner hat dieses Sprichwort so verstanden, daß Unrecht lange anhält, dessen Beseitigung jedoch nur einen kurzen Augenblick erfordern würde (in: JEA 9, 1923, 12, Anm. 1). Fecht scheint es eher als eine Beschreibung der aktuellen Lage anzusehen: "Wenn-das-Strafen-verkürzt-ist, dann-ist-das-Unheil-langwierig." ("verkürzt" im Sinne von "eingeschränkt"?).
