    ṯꜣy kann entweder das Verb "ergreifen" oder das Verb "tadeln" sein. In Zl. 21.2 wird "tadeln" mit der Präposition n konstruiert: m-ḏi̯ ṯꜣy=s n=k: "Sorge dafür, daß sie (d.h. deine Mutter) dich nicht tadelt" (vgl. für das Substantiv ṯꜣy auch Zl. 17.17: bw ḫpr ṯꜣy n pꜣ jri̯=f und 22.12: mn ṯꜣj n pꜣ jri̯=f). In den älteren Übersetzungen steht "Laß sie nicht dein Herz ergreifen, d.h. dir den Verstand rauben!" (Erman, Volten, Wilson, Lichtheim, Lalouette, Roccati). Posener, in: MDAIK 37, 1981, 397, Anm. 16 übersetzt "évite qu'elle blâme ton coeur" (gefolgt von Brunner und Quack), wozu man n ergänzen muß. Vernus möchte den Ansprechpartner als Subjekt belassen und hat: "Ne mets pas d'ardeur à la réprimander" (also m-ḏi̯ ṯꜣy 〈n〉=s ḥꜣ.tj=k).
