  • - wr/smsw: Die Lesung wr bei Lloyd: "another magnate was appointed" und Simpson: "another official was appointed". D. Franke, The Career of Khnumhotep III of Beni Hassan and the So-called "Decline of the Monarchs", in: S. Quirke (Hg.), Middle Kingdom Studies, New Malden 1991, 57 versteht dies als "the other great one", in Bezug auf den Sohn. Laut Feucht, Das Kind im Alten Ägypten, 216-217 kann es mehr als einen ältesten Sohn geben. Dann könnte man hier auch smsw lesen.
    - nḏ: "ein Ernannter"; Franke, 57, Anm. 12 meint, dass das Determ. A1 ein Fehler für A2 sein wird (auf dem Original steht eindeutig A1). Laut Lloyd, 34, Anm. 40 erklärt sich A1 durch die Substantivierung des Partizips Passiv.
