  • Der Sinn der zweiten Hälfte des Satzes ist wohl doch nicht "den findet man sehr bald", sondern, wie Quack vorschlägt, "der ist in der Lage, ihn suchen zu müssen" (Hoffmann / Quack, Anthologie 281). ẖre.t ist also als Masculinum behandelt worden, wie dies auch sonst (wie bei kopt. hre) belegt ist; vgl. Vittmann, P. Rylands 9, 300f. - Die Übersetzung "(Car) celui qui se cache sans avoir de provisions, il se trouve là où on le cherche" bei Agut-Labordère / Chauveau, Héros, magiciens et sages, 2011, 282, ist in ihrem letzten Teil nicht möglich, da "là où on le cherche" ägyptisch allenfalls *(n) tꜣ s.t (n) wḫꜣ=f lauten kann, nicht (n) tꜣ s.t (n) pꜣ ntj wḫꜣ=f.
