  • - Mathieu übersetzt "c'est décourageant, un coeur indifférent!", was unübliche Bedeutungen für ks und ky in einem dreigliedrigen pw-Satz impliziert. Die meisten Bearbeiter, angefangen mit Gardiner, übersetzen mit einer sḏm=f pw-Konstruktion (z.B. Gardiner: "Another heart would bend (under such a burden??)"; Hornung: "Ein anderes Herz würde dadurch niedergebeugt"). Quirke versteht ksi̯ als Infinitiv + Objekt: "it would be the bowing of another heart".
    - Für die Interpretation des Satzes ist das Bezugswort von sw im vorherigen Satz wichtig. Parkinson bezieht dies auf das Herz des Chacheperreseneb und sagt dann, daß ein anderes Herz sich (respektvoll vor seinem Herrn) verbeugen würde, d.h. ihm gehorchen und zusammen mit ihm die schwierige Lage (nächster Satz) ertragen würde (Parkinson, Tale of Sinuhe, 147: "Another heart would show respect" und 149 mit Anm. 8). pw bezieht sich wohl auf der Situationsbeschreibung, daß der Leib verborgen ist.
