Leitz, Magical and Medical Papyri, 55 erkennt das Verb "treiben" oder "betreten", das fast nur in ptolemäischen Texten belegt ist, Westendorf, 378 liest das Verb "suchen", das in Kombination mit dem anschließenden "finden" vielleicht mehr Sinn ergibt. Andererseits wird man wohl kaum das Nun-Gewässer suchen müssen. In Kol. 3.8 steht erneut ḥḥj, ebenfalls in einem unklaren Zusammenhang, und dort versteht es auch Leitz als "suchen".
