  • Second théonyme rédigé en écriture syllabique, sa signification reste obscure. Allen, Book of the Dead, 216, note 340 propose une origine sémitique "the Shepherd" alors que Zibelius-Chen, Meroitica 25, 225 trouve du côté de la langue bédja "un serpent de feu". Voir également Wüthrich, SAT 19, 225.

  • Aucun des deux manuscrits ne permet de lire ce qui précède ce théonyme. Nous avons choisi de reconstituer la particule invocative qui aurait pu être inscrite à l'encre rouge.

  • Le nom du père de cette première divinité est également inconnu dans la littérature égyptienne. Allen, Book of the Dead, 216, note 340 envisage une origine sémitique et propose la traduction de "Healing". Une origine nubienne semble plus probable même si aucun rapprochement n'est possible à l'heure actuelle. Voir Zibelius-Chen, Meroitica 25, 73-75 et Wüthrich, SAT 19, 225.

  • Théonyme rédigé en écriture syllabique ce qui suggère une origine étrangère. Il n'est pas attesté par ailleurs. Allen, Book of the Dead, 216, note 340 propose une origine sémique et ce qu'il propose de traduire par "piping". Le fait que le groupe consonnantique š~r soit attesté à plusieurs reprises dans les chapitres supplémentaires laisse penser qu'il pourrait s'agir d'un terme d'origine méroïtique. Le second groupe g ~t apparaît comme syllabe finale de trois théonyme dans ce chapitre et pourrait selon Zibelius-Chen, Meroitica 25, 224-5 être rapproché du méroïtique eqete. Elle propose par ailleurs une potentielle parentée avec la langue bédja ce qui serait compatible avec la mention plus bas de Pount. Voir également Wüthrich, SAT 19, 224-225.
