  • - p.t ḥ(wi̯)=s: Gemeint ist nicht, dass der Regen das Feuer löscht, sondern dass der Regen zur falschen Jahreszeit ebenfalls Schaden anrichtet, oder dass infolge des Bisses eine kosmische Störung auftritt, bei der die Ordnung der Jahreszeiten durcheinander ist (so Borghouts, Ancient Egyptian Magical Texts, 107, Anm. 202). Nicht zutreffend ist die Übersetzung von Drioton, Le théâtre égyptien, 84: „le ciel qui aurait plu dans la maison de la dame, ce n’en était pas le temps.“ (mit der Erklärung als Parabel in Anm. 9: Isis als Himmel kann das Feuer nicht mittels Regen löschen, weil ihr der Zugang verweigert wurde).
