  • Der Satz wurde früher anders gelesen: m=tn Km.t wꜣi̯.tj r sti̯.t mw / ḏi̯ mw r tꜣ jṯi̯.n=f nḫt-ꜥ m mꜣjr: "Seht Ägypten ist im Begriff, Gift zu speien; / derjenige der das Gift gespien hat (gerichtet hat) gegen das Land ('Staat') hat sich bemächtigt 'dessen mit starkem Arm' (d.h. den König) durch das Elend (Notlage)": siehe Fecht, Der Vorwurf an Gott, 168-172. Quack, in: LingAeg 3, 1993, 65-66 emendiert den zweiten Satz aus dieser früheren Lesung zu ḏi̯ {mw} r tꜣ 〈ḥr〉 jṯi̯.t n=f nḫt-ꜥ m mꜣr: "Wer früher machtlos war, greift zu; der Held ist im Elend".
