  • Die Bedeutung von Vers 18.22 ist umstritten. Bedeutet es, daß Gefäße dieser Größe nur für Arbeiten bei der Überschwemmung genützt werden können (so etwa Lange, Brunner?)? Oder riskiert man dann als Strafe von der Überschwemmung mitgerissen zu werden (so Vernus, Sagesses, 320 und 339, Anm. 147)? Oder wird das, was man mit dem Doppelmaß erworben hat, von der Flut mitgerissen werden (vgl. Vers 17.12), so daß man umsonst gearbeitet hat (so etwa Laisney)?
