  • sḫḫ.tj: alle Handschriften haben einstimmig sḫḫ.tj, nur auf tLouvre 693 ist vielleicht sjꜣṯ.j zu lesen. Die Übersetzung "Eilbote" geht auf Brunner, Cheti, 39 zurück, der das Wort von ḫꜣḫ: "eilen" ableitet. Helck übersetzt mit "Karawanenträger", Quirke mit "trader". Seibert, Charakteristik, 170-171, der an eine Lesung sjꜣṯ.j festhält, denkt an einen Beruf, der mit Harzgewinnung durch das Einschneiden der Baumrinde zu tun hat (vgl. sjꜣṯ: "verletzen").
