  • n.tj (ḥr) jri̯ jhj r=st/f: In zwei Texten der Oracular Amuletic Decrees (pLondon BM EA 10587 (L6), Rto. 106–107; pNew York MMA 10.53 (NY), Rto. 40–41) wird im Kontext von Erkrankungen auch der Schutz vor md.t nb.t (bjn.t) n.tj (ḥr) jri̯ jhj r=st versprochen. Die Auflösung von jhj ist nicht ganz eindeutig. Edwards (HPBM 4, Bd. 1, 40 [75], 104) denkt an hꜣi̯ „angreifen“ (Wb 2, 475.1–4; Wilson, Ptol. Lexikon, 597; 97360) und übersetzt dementsprechend „every (evil) thing which might attack her/him“. Allerdings tritt bei hꜣi̯ in der Regel kein Anlaut auf (Lesko, Dictionary 2, 76–77) und man würde ein direktes Objekt erwarten (Wilson, Ptol. Lexikon, 597). Hier ist doch wohl eher an den Komplex ꜣhw „Schmerz“ (Wb 1, 12.4–6; medWb 97–98; Wilson, Ptol. Lexikon, 12; 174) bzw. jhj „Wehklage/wehklagen“ (Wb 1, 118.2; 30180) zu denken. Sowohl inhaltlich als auch was die Schreibung anbelangt – jhj ist zum einen (L6) mit dem sitzenden Mann mit der Hand am Mund (A2) und zum anderen (NY) mit der schlechten Pustel (Aa2) und dem schlechten Vogel (G37) klassifiziert – erscheint mir dieses Wort deutlich besser zu passen.
