  • Der Ausdruck jri̯ ṯs.t bedeutet "Vorwürfe machen, sich beschweren", aber das pluralische Personendeterminativ in ṯs.t könnte vielleicht für "Gruppe von Aufständischen" o.ä. sprechen, daher "einen Aufstand anzetteln". Aus gr.-röm. Zeit sind die Wörter ṯs.t: "Verderben, Vernichtung" und ṯs.tjw: "Feindstatuetten" belegt, deren Etymologie vielleicht aber nichts mit (w)ṯs: "sich erheben" zu tun hat (siehe Wilson, Ptolemaic Lexikon, 1176-1178; ṯs.tjw schon in CT V, 379b und VII, 110l). Seit Gardiner, in: Mélanges Maspero, 482-483 übersetzen viele mit "Truppen rekrutieren", aber das Wort ṯAz.t: "Truppe" wird in älteren Texten normalerweise anders geschrieben (in oMichaelides 50 ist das Wort tatsächlich mit der Knotenhieroglyphe geschrieben: die Textkopie von Helck ist zu korrigieren).
