  • nṯr.w n(.j) rr(w).tj: Diese Gruppe von Göttern ist nur in diesem einen Text der Oracular Amuletic Decrees belegt. Die Vorstellung, dass gefährliche Pathogene von außen kommen und den Menschen durch Eindringen in den Körper gefährden können, ist allerdings aus anderen ägyptischen magischen Texten bekannt (s. zum Beispiel Papyrus Nr. 1826 der Nationalbibliothek Griechenlands, x+8.9: Fischer-Elfert/Hoffmann, Papyrus Nr. 1826, 166). Im Papyrus Edwin Smith (4.16–Sm 8) findet sich zudem eine aufschlussreiche Glosse, die auch zur Erklärung der hier behandelten Textstelle beiträgt: jr ꜥq.t m-rw.tj ṯꜣw pw n(.j) nṯr n(.j) rw.tj mwt rꜣ-pw „Was (die Textstelle) „etwas, das von außen eingetreten ist“ angeht: das ist der Hauch eines Gottes von draußen oder (der Hauch) eines Toten/Wiedergängers“ (P. Dils, in TLA (Okt. 2014); vgl. Fischer-Elfert/Hoffmann, Papyrus Nr. 1826, 166–167 [728]).
