  • - jṯi̯ ḥr: Zur Bedeutung "Gesicht abwenden" siehe Faulkner, Concise Dictionary, 34: "avert the face"; so die Deutung von Habachi, Second Stela, 41 mit 42 Anm. d.
    - mḥ.〈t〉(j): So die Emendation von Habachi, Second Stela, 42 Anm d. Da auf der Stele als Determinativ der Bewässerungskanal (Gardiner Sign-List N 23) noch eindeutig vorhanden ist, ist Habachis Deutung wohl den anderen vorzuziehen. Alternative Vorschläge sind: Smith / Smith, Texts, 60 mit 65 Anm. bb: ḥr(.j)-mḥ(.t) bzw. mḥ(.t)=j: "der auf der/meiner Nordseite ist", ihre Übersetzung des Satzes ist: "The one who is on the north (of me) has not seized (anything)"; Redford, in: E. Oren (Ed.), The Hyksos, 15: "the concerned man" (von mḥi̯ "s. sorgen um", Wb. 2, 120.13-16); Redford erwägt noch 30, Anm. 153: "I did not avert my attention (from) the northerner" (d.h. n jṯi̯(=j) ḥr mḥ〈.t〉(j)); Kaplony-Heckel, Kriegszug, 532 hat: "Nicht gelingt (?) es, mich zu packen" (mit Anm. 26a: der Satz ist wohl unvollständig, d.h. sie liest n jṯi̯(.w) ḥr mḥ=j mit mḥ "füllen, packen"), und so ähnlich Hofmann, Königsnovelle, 119; Simpson, Literature, 349: "The one north of me has not seized."
