Walker, Anatomical Terminology, 268 unterscheidet zwischen bb.wj "collarbones, clavicles", bby.t: "supraclavicular fossae i.e. the hollows above the collarbones" und bb.t: "collarbone region". I, 455.5 mit der möglichen Bedeutung "larynx" übernimmt. Dawson (Mitteilung an Gardiner, in: Gardiner, AEO I, S. 18-19) spezifiziert bby.t als "in man the region of the upper part of the thorax, on both sides of the body immediately overlying the clavicles, and in the ox (where the flesh is much thicker) between the 'neck' and the 'brisket'." Weeks, Anatomical Knowledge, 40 möchte im Gegensatz zu Dawson den Bereich von bbyt einschränken: bbyt "is perhaps to be restricted to the two supraclavicular notches (not, as he [= Dawson] suggested, to the clavicles themselves)."
