Mit dem „Hirten“ wird eine Gottheit gemeint sein. So auch Koleva-Ivanov, in: BIFAO 106, 2006, 176-177, die Amun oder Horus selbst für denkbar hält, der damit gleichzeitig Patient und Heiler wäre. Für letzteren Aspekt verweist sie auf Verso 2,6-3,6, was aber revidiert werden muss, weil nach der Edition von Roccati in diesem Spruch Horus mit Thot spricht und nicht mit seinem Alter Ego.
