  • Nach dem Determinativ (F28; „Tierschwanz“) und damals noch nicht publizierten Belegen aus den Sargtexten, die als Determinativ einen Primaten zeigen (siehe jetzt CT I, 239g B12Cb; vgl. R. van der Molen, A Hieroglyphic Dictionary of Egyptian Coffin Texts, PÄ 15, Leiden/Boston/Köln 2000, 634; dazu noch Meeks, Année lexicographique I, 77.4301) urteilte Gardiner, Hieratic Papyri I, 13, Anm. 3, dass es sich um einen Quadrupeden, wahrscheinlich einen Affen, handelt. Szpakoswka, Behind Clodes Eyes, 85 mit Anm. 109 gibt als Referenz Hannig, Großes Handwörterbuch Ägyptisch-Deutsch (1995), 838, wobei Hannig dort übersetzt „*e. vierbeiniges Tier (*Affe)“ (ebenso in der Neuedition des Handwörterbuches 2006, S. 905 Nr. 33603), d.h. Hannig orientiert sich hier direkt an Gardiner, ebenso L. Lesko, A Dictionary of Late Egyptien, vol. 3, 1987, 167: „monkey (?)“, allerdings nennt er einen zweiten Beleg mit der identischen Schreibung (JEA 31, 61, 5), wo es eher einen „sacrificial ox (?)“ meint, wobei Blackman an jener Stelle aber nur Belege aus Spätzeittempeln nannte (vgl. P. Wilson, A Ptolemaic Lexikon, OLA 78, Leuven 1997, 1032).
