I was a knower of things,
whom Thoth leads,
one who kept silent 〈concerning〉 the secrets of the temple,
one who distinguishes the pat from the rekhyt,
Thoth-like in judging the two lands (?).

Comments
  • - sšm.w Ḏḥw.tj: Faulkner übersetzt: "a Thoth-like leader", Schenkel und Lichtheim haben: "einer, den Thot leitet" bzw. "one guided by Thoth".
    - Ḏḥw,tj m wḏꜥ tꜣ.du: Uncertain. Faulkner (1951, 48-49) reads Ḏḥw,tj m wḏꜥ jwi̯ 〈n=f〉 tꜣ.du: "a Thoth in judgement, 〈to whom〉 the Two Lands came (??)". Schenkel (1965, 293, n. d) suggests reading the effaced sign as Y1 and the whole phrase as wḏꜥ tꜣ.du, which needs no emendation.
