It was the fear of him that spread respect of me,
(it was) his influence that spread terror of me,
so that those foreign countries which I have reached called "Hail, hail to his might!"; (it was) the love of him bonding for him the Two Lands, the gods making prosperous his time.

  • - jn ist nur einmal geschrieben, muß aber dreimal (so Gardiner, 36 mit Anm. 1, mit Fragezeichen: auch noch vor mrw.t=f; wohl auch Schenkel, MHT, 284, Anm. (a)) wiederholt werden.
    - jd,t=f : Lit. "smell", "exudation" - for the metaphorical use of the word see Gardiner, in: JEA 4, 1917, 35, n. 9.
    - sḫwz: Schenkel übersetzt "erweitern", was eine Lesung swsḫ impliziert (wird normalerweise nicht swzḫ geschrieben, aber auch das Anfangs-z paßt nicht zu einer Kausativbildung). Die Stelle ist als DZA 29.070.410 in den Belegstellen des Wb. s.v. swsḫ eingetragen.
    - hꜣw: Gardiner übersetzt mit "the gods prospering his time", Schenkel hat "die Götter erweitern seinen Umkreis".
