rdw-[n-]bn.w: Gardiner (DZA 50.143.880) denkt an das Verb rd: „NN ist wie gedeiht der bnw“. In Gardiner, HPBM III, Text, 58, Anm. 5 geht er dagegen von rwḏ.t: „Sehne“ aus und übersetzt die Passage mit „N, born of M, is like the sinew of the phoenix (or heron) that came into being of itself“. Roccati, Magica Taurinensia, 161.30-31 folgt Ersterem: „il Tale, figlio del Tale° è come fiorisce la fenice“. Die Verbindung rwḏ-n-bn.w ist inzwischen als Pflanze erkannt worden, die als Materia magica auch andernorts Verwendung findet, s. Guermeur, in: Fs Yoyotte, Bd. 1, 550-551 und Quack, Altägyptische Amulette, 30-31 sowie 92. In der Turiner Stelle ergänzt Guermeur in der kleinen Lücke nach rdw die Genitivnisbe.
