How fortunate is the one who [places you/her in his heart (?)
... ... ...],
so that there will happen to him, what happened to me.

Comments
  • wꜣḏ.wy: Both Kitchen (2000, 193) and Römer (1995, 481) suggest reading wꜣḏ.wy here, against Nims’ tentative ‘the decrees (?)’. I follow Römer’s suggested restoration of the rest of line. Goyon (1990, 60, n. 40) alternatively suggests wꜣḏ.wy pꜣ nty ḥr mw=s.

  • kꜣ ḫpr n=f ḫpr n=j: I follow Römer here (1995, 481). Nims (1956, 148) rendered ‘what happened to him, happened to me’, referring to the position of Bunakhtef, which was transferred to Penre. Römer translates ‘dann geschieht ihm das, was mir geschehen ist’, so that the verse will be a general statement of divine power: the one who follows the goddess, placing her in his heart, will be promoted, just as Penre was promoted.
