wḏ.yw: the ending of the verb is awkward, but wḏi̯ is a verb that is indicative of a very late phase of Middle Egyptian, so maybe this is not such a problem. My reading is based on wḏjjw: 'wandering cattle' which is attested the Israel stela and elsewhere (Wb. I, 398.14; Sinuhe B118 reads ḥww, not wḏjjw: see Koch 1990: 48a). This is appropriate to the context. Another word, wḏ, apparently also describes a sort of cow in a Dynasty 19 list (see DZA 22.704.080 ff). (see: R. Enmarch, forthcoming, A World Upturned: The Ancient Egyptian Dialogue of Ipuwer and the Lord of All. To appear in the British Academy Postdoctoral Monograph Series).
