  • - rḏi̯ m-tp n mꜣꜥ-ḫrw ḫft: ich verstehe dies als "der (eine Sache) nach vorne bringt wegen der Rechtfertigung vor (oder vielleicht: gemäß) den Sachrichtern" (mit mꜣꜥ-ḫrw als Substantiv oder Infinitiv). Janssen, Traditioneele Egyptische autobiografie, II, 111 (Nr. Bm.4) versteht m tp n etwas anders: "die beveelt vor den zegevierende (in het proces) volgens (de uitspraak van) de rechters (of: degenen, die verhoord hebben)" (mit mꜣꜥ-ḫrw als Partizip).
    - sḏm(y)w ḫ.t: Lichtheim übersetzt: "(who) submits (cases) for adjugement at the hearing of duties" (gefolgt von Doxey, Egyptian non-royal Epithets, 337), aber dies berücksichtigt nicht das Personendeterminativ hinter ḫ.t.
    - snk: The word snk is unclear. Hannig (Ägyptisches Wörterbuch. Mittleres Reich und Zweite Zwischenzeit, II, 2002, 2265) gives "*Verstellung" (pretence, disguise), but that makes little sense in an epithet of the text owner. Lichtheim, 107 translates "mighty to punish", which makes sense, but no word snk with the meaning "to punish" is known. The root means "dark; to be dark; to obscure" (Wb 4, 175.11-13; also "reduce": Meeks ALex 1982, 259) and it seems likely that a negative action (i.e. a kind of punishment) towards the object ("the one who is negligent in his service") is implied. Das Lemma ist als DZA 29.304.350 in Wb. IV, 156.8 s.v. snjk aufgenommen. Andere Auffassungen (ohne eine entgültige Lösung) bei Janssen, Traditioneele Egyptische autobiografie, II, 23 (Nr. H.63), der z.B. an snk mit Krokodilsdeterminativ denkt ("gefräßig sein") und den schlagenden Mann auch als Logogramm ḥwi̯: "erschlagen" lesen möchte.
    - jnk: For jkn, a bad quality of the heart - the translation is based on the context. Lichtheim, 107, Anm. 1 versteht jnk als eine Graphie von knj: "verdrossen sein" (gefolgt von Doxey, Egyptian non-royal Epithets, 277). Es ist im Wb. II, 205.15 s.v. njk: "der zu bestrafende" aufgenommen (DZA 24.678.550), ebenso von Faulkner, Concise Dictionary, 126 und von Janssen, Traditioneele Egyptische autobiografie, II, 23.
