  • Unklare Aussage. Gardiner, S. 36, Anm. 1 vermutete hierin eine Phrase in der Bedeutung "in the twinkling of an eye" und übersetzte auf S. 35: "Thou shalt attain to her grotto in the kissing of thy hand four times". Dieser Deutung wird meist gefolgt. Jedoch fragt sich, ob dies nicht eher mit Hilfe eines Terminativs als mit der hier vorliegenden, finalen Verbindung r+Infinitiv gebildet worde wäre. F. Haikal, A Gesture of Thanksgiving in Ancient Egypt, in: Stationen. Beiträge zur Kulturgeschichte Ägyptens. Rainer Stadelmann gewidmet, Mainz am Rhein 1998, S. 291-292 vermutete dagegen hierin einen Gestus des Dankes dafür, dass der Mann seine Geliebte erreicht.
