ṯꜣi̯.t tpw-rʾ: Die Übersetzung folgt der Communis opinio: Der Hund beginnt plötzlich zu sprechen. Sie ist aber keineswegs sicher. Wente, 2. Auflage, S. 90 übersetzte (mit Verweis auf H. von Deines, W. Westendorf, Wörterbuch der medizinischen Texte. 2. Hälfte; Berlin 1962 (Grundriß der Medizin der alten Ägypter VII, 2), S. 947) "(his dog) took a bite", schloss sich aber in der 3. Auflage, S. 79 der Communis opinio an.
W. Spiegelbergs inhaltlich erwägenswerte Ergänzung r-[ḏd jnk pꜣy=k šꜣy]: "Ich bin dein Schicksal" (in: ZÄS 64, 1929, S. 86) ist laut Gardiner, LESt 8, 11, Anm. c-d zu lang für die Lücke, wurde aber in den meisten Übersetzungen übernommen.
