  • jꜣw.⸮y? mꜣr.y nb oder jꜣw ⸮[mri̯].y? mꜣr.y nb: Die Stelle ist beschädigt, das y auf der nächsten Zeile, hinter dem Determinativ von jꜣw, ist unsicher (Griffith, 202, Anm. (*) erkannte ein s mit Fragezeichen, Goedicke und Stewart haben ein Doppelschilfblatt) und unerwartet, nb ist überflüssig (es ist kein schlechter Vogel wie in Zl. 12); der Topos qrs jꜣw wird normalerweise nicht erweitert. Goedicke hat "I buried the old and any pauper" (gefolgt von Brunner, Beylage; Favry, 182), wobei er für jꜣw.⸢y⸣ und mꜣr.y aktive Partizipien und keine Substantive vermutet (30, Anm. (o)). Schenkel, 9 zweifelt diese Übersetzung an, aber er bietet keine Lösung. Vernus, 360 übersetzt "[Aimé] (?) de tout malheureux ..." und ergänzt also ein [mr].y, für das der Platz keineswegs ausreicht. Ob man smꜣr.y "ein ins Elend Gestürzter" lesen sollte?
