  • On peut légitimement se demander s'il ne conviendrait pas mieux de considérer Imn comme le nom de la divinité et traduire simplement par Amon, aucun des papyrus ne comportant à notre connaissance le déterminatif de l'homme caché. Mais que faire de la seconde partie de l'invocation? Allam, P. Berlin 3031, 65, propose "Amun der Verbogenen", épithète inconnue.
    La proposition de Quirke, Going out in Daylight, 395, bien que séduisante, de lire Imn tꜣ.wj ne peut être soutenue par aucun manuscrit.
    Ce type de construction alliant un substantif et son pluriel est bien attesté (mettre une référence) et il est évident qu'il s'agit de jouer sur le nom d'Amon.
