Werde rezitiert über einem Tonkrokodil, indem [Weizen]körner in seinem Maul sind und sein Auge aus Fayence [in] seinen Kopf eingelassen (?) ist, indem man (es) [verknotet] (?) und das Abbild der Götter in Schrift verfertigt (d.h. als Vignette) auf eine Binde von feinstem Leinen.

  • Popko (357 mit Anm. 17) übersetzt diese Stelle als "(to be) placed [on] his head (?)" wobei sich wꜣḥ nicht auf das Auge bezieht, sondern auf das Krokodil aus Ton, dass als Heilmittel auf dem Kopf des Patienten gesetzt werden soll.

  • - jw=tw ḥr ⸮ṯꜣz?: Gardiner, Chester Beatty Gift, 51 fängt einen neuen Satz in seiner Übersetzung an. Denkt er an einen Non-initial-main-sentence (Narrativ) oder ist es die mittelägyptische Pseudoverbalkonstruktion jw=f ḥr sḏm? Jedenfalls muß der anschließende Konjunktiv-Vorläufer ḥnꜥ + Infinitiv ebenfalls etwas fortsetzen, es sei denn, es ist ein zweiter Infinitiv nach jw=tw ḥr ⸮ṯꜣz?: vgl. Brose, Grammatik der dokumentarischen Texte, 166, § 113, Beisp. 118 = 404, § 369, Beisp. 245: in einem Text des Illahunarchivs). Sollte mit wꜣḥ ein Imperativ anfangen (vgl. die Interpretation von Popko)? Allerdings übersetzt auch Gardiner dort "a crocodile of clay ..., and its eye of faience set [in] its head."
    - jri̯(.t) twt: Das Wort twt ist logographisch geschrieben. Eschweiler, Bildzauber, 48 und 119, Anm. 232 scheint fälschlicherweise statt ḥnꜥ jri̯(.t) twt das Substantiv jr.w: "Bild" erkannt zu haben.
